About Us/Contact Us

Sussex Muddy@rse MTB Club saw its first outing in October 2006, with 18 guys and gals braving the horrendous weather. The club was the brainchild of Lisa, a local mtb’er who wanted to ride with likeminded people but found that local Clubs seemed to favour road riding. So, Sussex Muddy@rse MTB Club was born.

By the powers of the internet the Club is growing from strength to strength and so far turnout to all rides has been staggering. However, a Club is only as good as its members so why not join today if you like the idea of relaxed, friendly, cross country rides in and around Sussex with likeminded people who just want to get out on their bikes?

Every month we try to alternate the rides styles so if this month is an XC ride on big open South Downs tracks, then next month will include a ride with more singletrack somewhere in/or around Sussex. This might mean a bit of travel but it will be worth it. Join our forum to receive email reminders of rides.  Also, you will be able to access all the Membership benefits that our very generous LBS’ have given the Club.

Mountainbiking is an extreme sport and can be dangerous so come prepared, helmets must be worn at all times, we can take no liability for your personal safety (read more extensive disclaimer in our Forum). We will always do our best to look after you on a ride and no one will get left behind. Rides are not a race, but a good level of fitness and ability is required to keep the Group, ride flow and the fun factor going. No under 18’s without prior permission and no animals (e.g. dogs) on club rides for boring liability reasons. Happy with that then why not come along on a ride…
